Description

Red wine obtained from the vinification of the best grapes of Vigna Brione, located on the slopes of Monte Brione facing Lake Garda. The nature of the clay soils and the Mediterranean microclimate of the vineyard lead to the creation of a classy wine that combines character and harmony. Violor is land, knowledge and creativity. Wine with an ancient name that indicates the laurel (violor in local dialect) planted by the grandfather in the center of the vinery courtyard.

Vinification

Manual harvest and selection of grapes, between early and mid-October. The ancient Cabernet Franc vineyard derives from a mass selection, where depending on the vintage the grapes are vinified together or separately. The Merlot comes from a high-intensity planting vineyard with a reduced load of grapes per plant. Once in the cellar, the bunches are destemmed and fermentation continues at a controlled temperature with periodic pumping over for approximately 20 days, a period corresponding to the duration of maceration on the skins. This is followed by 18 months of aging in French oak barriques with a third of new barrels. Bottle refinement for a minimum of 18 months before release on the market.

Wine features

Color: intense ruby ​​red
Smell: Fnotes of dark fruit remind of blackberry accompanied by spicy aromas brought by Cabernet Franc. The aging first in barrels and then in the bottle gives maturity and expressiveness to the wine.
Taste: Important and at the same time harmonious tannic structure, remind the organoleptic profile perceived by the nose enriched with roundness and persistence.
